Meet William Topaczewski: an inspiring journey and the future of marketing with Glowtify

Today, we're sharing an interview conducted by Kelly-Anne Charuest, our marketing coordinator at Parkour3, with William Topaczewski, an expert in business development and marketing automation. This discussion is part of a series of articles featuring inspiring professionals from the industry.

William's story: from atypical beginnings to successful entrepreneur

William's story is far from the beaten track. Initially, he taught communication courses to B2B companies, a role that enabled him to pass on his ideas and help people improve their pitches. He then decided to go further and enroll at university to study communications. But he soon realized that the academic framework, with its theoretical courses and exams, wasn't for him.

So he took another turn and landed a job as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in a company. His days were centered on prospecting: cold calls, targeted e-mails, and the goal of bringing in customers. After three years, he was in charge of the entire sales team. This position taught him that you don't need a university degree to succeed: it's all about effort and learning on the job.

He then teamed up with two former colleagues to found a consulting firm. Less than a year later, they were helping a Montreal-based e-commerce agency generate $1.5 million thanks to their prospecting approach. But William didn't stop there. He joined an AdTech firm in Toronto, where he forged ties with several marketing agencies, including Parkour3. This experience prompted him to relaunch Sales Opps, a company specializing in prospecting for agencies.

Glowtify: a new, game-changing adventure

William's path then led him to discover Glowtify, a startup developed by Walter Interactive, a Montreal web agency. He immediately fell in love with their vision and the technology behind the platform. He joined the team, even becoming a partner. Glowtify is a platform that enables companies to manage their marketing in a simple, automated way. The tool generates comprehensive marketing plans and personalized content based on brands' objectives, without having to do everything by hand.

Today, Glowtify has almost 900 customers, with the ambition to grow further by collaborating with agencies and following new market trends. Their mission? To make marketing accessible to small and medium-sized businesses that can't afford to hire large teams or spend fortunes on campaigns.

Glowtify's challenges and the future of marketing

Like any ambitious startup, Glowtify faces a number of challenges. The biggest? Finding competent, motivated developers with a long-term commitment. Recruiting in a market where talent is in high demand is no easy task. To meet this challenge, the Glowtify team has implemented effective recruitment strategies and fine-tuned its internal processes. It takes time, but they're making progress.

William also shared an interesting observation about the evolution of the agency market. It used to be that big brands often turned to big agencies for their campaigns. But today, more and more brands are turning to smaller, specialized agencies. That's where tools like Glowtify come in: they enable these agencies to deliver solid results without breaking the bank.

William's advice: dare to prospect!

At the end of the interview, William shared an essential piece of advice for companies looking to expand: don't be afraid to prospect! Too often, we wait for customers to come to us. But for William, the key to success lies in direct action: calling potential customers, sending them targeted e-mails, and going out to meet them. It's not always easy, but it's effective.

He also took a moment to give us a demo of Glowtify, and it was impressive to see how the platform simplifies the creation of marketing content in just a few clicks, while adapting to the needs of businesses.

What happened next?

Kelly-Anne concluded the interview by announcing that she would be writing this article (yes, the one you're reading right now!) and sending it to William for validation before publication. It's a great collaboration that shows we can learn from each other's journeys, while putting forward game-changing tools.

To sum up, this meeting with William shows us the journey of an entrepreneur who knew how to follow his own path, without conforming to the usual standards, and who is now helping other companies to do the same with Glowtify. His story proves that ambition, resourcefulness and a good dose of prospecting can go a long way. For small businesses or agencies looking for effective solutions, Glowtify could well be the tool you need to take your business to the next level.
