Here's step 3 in agency website design: Your website must be designed to optimize its natural referencing.

Keyword Research

Keyword research, or Keyword Research, is the step that provides information on the search volume of keywords and their uses on the Web. Many tools are available for this purpose. To come up with the first keyword ideas, you can use SEMrush with your existing website, comparing it with those of the competition. The aim is to find out which keywords perform best for these websites in the search engine rankings. Then you can use a keyword miner, such as Keyword.io. These tools can be used to create long lists of keywords with any relationship from a semantic point of view. Moz Keyword Explorer and Google Ads Keyword Planner Tool will allow you to pull out important SEO data, such as search volume and keyword difficulty. Google Trends allows you to pick up search trends on Google. Among other things, the tool reveals the seasonality of certain terms and their geographical usage.

On-page SEO

In addition to keywords, optimization continues on the structure of information in the code of your pages. There are several points not to be overlooked:

H1
Only one H1 tag should be used per page. In addition, the structure of titles should follow numerology. It's recommended to insert the keywords you want to be referenced on at the beginning of the title.

Meta
Meta-Descriptions and Meta-Keywords tags help users understand the content of your web pages. A good description increases the click-through rate (CTR). You can insert the keyword chosen for this page.

301 and 404
Make sure there are no broken links or 404 pages. Check your website's internal links and referenced pages in search results. To properly monitor these errors in Google Analytics, be sure to insert the 404 error code in the title. To correct these errors, set up a permanent redirect (301) to a relevant page.

URL
Page URLs should reflect the content of the page. Here again, the ideal is to insert the keyword in question. Avoid overly complex website structures. Your users should understand the structure of the website only by reading the URL.

HTTPS

An SSL certificate secures the website as well as the data it transfers. Since Google places crucial importance on and prioritizes HTTPS-secured sites for SEO, securing your site with an SSL certificate prevents a loss of SEO or visitors. What's more, on certain browsers such as Google Chrome, a security message may appear before accessing the site, warning visitors of the risks associated with browsing it.
