MANDATE

The Parkour3 team has created a website with a modern and sleek design to capture a new generation of visitors. The objective was also to digitalize the exhibition The “Good Design” to offer it to the largest number of online users.

ACHIEVEMENTS

The exhibition “Good Design” is dedicated to modern design and brings together objects from the past and present that are anchored in everyone’s daily life. In this sense, we have developed the principle of “Good Design” on the website through 3 categories: Understand, Discover and Explore.

We have created a website with a modern and well thought-out design, using an Open Source solution (WordPress). Throughout the website redesign process, one of the biggest challenges was to create a modern website that respected the accessibility standards for Government of Canada websites. All virtual exhibits must comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. The WCAG 2.0 are based on 4 principles: the product must be perceivable, usable, understandable and robust.

Finally, users can share photo content on the website to contribute to the exhibition. The UX and design have been entirely thought to create a unique experience for the user! Moreover, the navigation is now adapted to the circumstances and fluid.
